“From the Generation Game to Gladiators, game shows have been a beloved TV staple for decades. Now, we want to bring some of this competitive magic to social media, providing an opportunity for brands and talent to move away from traditional spon-con and create genuinely engaging content that today’s audiences want to see.”

They have now created The Game Show Business in response to “increased demand from brands and talent for more entertaining and engaging content formats across social media.”

Wieczorek said: “From the Generation Game to Gladiators, game shows have been a beloved TV staple for decades. Now, we want to bring some of this competitive magic to social media, providing an opportunity for brands and talent to move away from traditional spon-con and create genuinely engaging content that today’s audiences want to see.”

From MediaCity studio, The Game Show Business will handle production and distribution, creating original formats for media publishers and providing brand sponsorships.

Young added: “Original, entertaining content that is a cut above the rest and audiences want to watch, that’s what we do. Whether it’s tackling a brief, working with talent or creating a PR stunt, The Game Show Business is about entertainment, something that is sometimes lost in messaging and eventual output of campaigns. It provides an opportunity for our brand partners new and existing to reach larger audiences more effectively.”

Accompanying the launch of The Game Show Business is a six-part podcast series that looks back at popular game shows of the 90s and 00s and features an array of special guests. The series will be available across all major podcast platforms in the winter.
